Adele’s inspirational and dynamic teaching methodology will explore ways in which you can record your life’s experiences, your feelings, your emotional reactions, or your inner-voice through the use of images, drawings and words.
This is more than just keeping a diary. This is a visual story.
This one-day workshop will introduce you to ways in which you can visually record your life experiences. You will learn to look for and to record images that tell your story.
This technique will encourage you to see the world through different eyes. It is an excellent tool for all sorts of memories such as recording your holidays and adventures, family events, or even the seasonal changes in your garden. Visual Journaling creates rich records of memorable events and the ebb-and-flow of your life.
You can expect to complete the workshop with several images in your personal journal and the tools to continue to build confident and unique visual records. The workshop is suitable for all levels of experience, from beginners to art educators and the more experienced artists. The commitment to small groups (no larger than 15 – so book early!), ensures that you will receive personal attention throughout the day.
What you will learn:
- techniques and tools to enhance your drawing ability
- exercises in the use of expressive line
- rendering drawings in colour using a variety of materials
- experimenting in design ideas
- using text creatively
- expanding “found” imagery
Note: The workshop fee includes your own personal journal to take home, morning and afternoon tea refreshments and a light lunch.
Situated near Bowral in the Southern Highlands – a short 90 minute drive from Sydney. You will find inspiration in the beautiful garden surroundings during one of the most magical times of the year.
